Senior Fund Accountant
About the Role
As a Senior Accountant – Corporate Services, you will be responsible for the accounting, financial reporting and tax compliance of a portfolio of Luxembourg commercial companies. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will oversee complex accounting matters, coordinate year-end processes, liaise with clients, auditors and tax authorities, and support junior team members when required.
Key Responsibilities
• Independently manage a portfolio of Luxembourg commercial companies (SOPARFI, holdings and operational companies).
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with Luxembourg GAAP.
• Coordinate year-end closings and liaise with external auditors.
• Prepare and review VAT returns, Corporate Income Tax returns and other tax filings.
• Review accounting records, reconciliations and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor cash movements, bank reconciliations and payment processing.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, auditors and tax authorities regarding accounting and financial matters.
• Assist and support junior accountants by reviewing their work and providing guidance when needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and contribute to the implementation of best practices.
• Work closely with the Legal, Tax and Compliance teams to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.
Your Profile
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or Audit.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience in Luxembourg, ideally within a fiduciary or corporate services provider.
• Strong knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP.
• Solid knowledge of Luxembourg corporate taxation and VAT.
• Experience with Luxembourg commercial companies (SOPARFI, holdings and operational companies).
• Ability to work independently and manage a client portfolio.
• Experience reviewing the work of junior accountants is considered an asset.
• Fluency in English is essential. French is a strong advantage; any additional language is considered an asset.
• Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.
• Client-focused, proactive and able to work effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines.
